| 01 | This Week's E-Ticket Free Dining Is Back, With an Early-Access Catch |
Disney turned the free-dining lever again this morning. Starting today, eligible Disney Visa Cardmembers get an early-access booking window (March 5 through March 11) on a new Free Dining offer for Walt Disney World, ahead of what the fine print suggests could widen to more guests later (BlogMickey).
Book a package with tickets and a room at a Value or Moderate resort and you get a free Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan (2 quick-service meals, a snack, and a refillable mug per person, per night). Book Deluxe or Deluxe Villas and you get the full Disney Dining Plan (a table-service meal added to the mix).
For your planning:
Disney Visa Cardmembers should book within the March 5–11 window for first crack at it.
The offer must be booked as part of a non-discounted 4-night/4-day room-and-ticket package with the Park Hopper option, not tacked onto an existing reservation or just any ticket type.
Compare the plan's per-night cost against what you'd actually eat before assuming "free" beats out-of-pocket.

What's your Free Dining game plan?
If you love signature dining, character breakfasts, or restaurants the plan doesn't cover, credits pile up unused and "free" gets a lot less free. Run your real itinerary through the numbers before you book, not after.

Speaking of stacking savings on top of the free-dining math above: if you've got a Disney Cruise Line sailing on the books, there's a fresh reason to extend the trip. Guests disembarking a DCL sailing between February 18 and May 17, 2026 can save up to 35% on a Walt Disney World hotel room, but only if they book within 14 days of getting off the ship (BlogMickey).
The discount scales with resort tier: up to 35% off at 20 Deluxe and Deluxe Villa resorts (Contemporary, Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Beach Club among them), up to 30% off at Moderates like Caribbean Beach and Coronado Springs, and up to 25% off at Values like Pop Century and the All-Stars. It applies across six separate stay windows between March and December 2026. Suites, villas, campsites, and a few other room types are excluded.
Our view: bounceback offers nudging cruisers back to Walt Disney World aren't new, Disney's leaned on them for years. What's different here is the direction, this is a sea-to-land play, turning a cruise into more Disney rather than just extending the same trip. The two-week booking window is still a short fuse, so if you've got a sailing wrapping up soon, don't sit on this one.

| 03 | Pardon the Pixie Dust Rock 'n' Roller Coaster's Aerosmith Era Is Officially Over |
We told you last week you had one week left. Well, the week's up: Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith has permanently closed at Disney's Hollywood Studios after 25 years (it opened July 30, 1999), and this time there's no walking it back (BlogMickey).
The coaster is getting a full retheme into Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, a concept in the works since 2023 and officially announced back in November 2024. Expect The Electric Mayhem, a psychedelic new guitar facade, and a Summer 2026 reopening target.

A couple issues back we told you Robert Downey Jr. had been tapped as godparent for Disney Adventure ahead of its Singapore maiden voyage. That voyage is now five days away, the ship was christened this week at its new Singapore homeport, RDJ joined by Captain Mickey, Captain Minnie, incoming CEO Josh D'Amaro, and Disney Signature Experiences president Joe Schott (Attractions Magazine).

It's DCL's largest ship yet, its first Southeast Asia homeport, and it's got a roller coaster at sea (Ironcycle Test Run, over 820 feet), which is more than we can say for any ship we've personally sailed. Maiden voyages start March 10.
