There's a specific kind of Disney Cruise Line morning where the itineraries drop and nothing else on the calendar matters. Tuesday was one of those.
Meanwhile, EPCOT opens Food & Wine today. Lots to talk about by land and by sea.

Disney Cruise Line put its Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 schedule on the board Tuesday, and the headline is a homeport it hasn't used since 2023.
The Disney Wish finishes its inaugural European season in September 2027, crosses the Atlantic, and settles into New York for seven sailings (Disney Cruise Line Blog). Four to seven nights, to Bermuda, Canada, and New England, timed for peak October foliage.
Bermuda gets five of the seven, three of those with an extra day at King's Wharf. The Canada runs call on Halifax, Saint John, and Charlottetown, with one stop in Boston (Disney Parks Blog).

For a Walt Disney World crowd, the quieter line matters more. Starting November 2027 there will be three Wish-class ships home ported at Port Canaveral: the Wish comes back from New York, the Treasure stays put, and the Destiny home ports there for the first time.
Booking opens in tiers, and the first one is Monday:

Verify your Castaway Club status now. It's the difference between booking Monday and booking a week from Tuesday.

Two maiden calls if you want the long way around: Fuerte Amador on the Magic's 14-night eastbound Panama Canal run in November 2027, and Colón on the westbound the following March.

The 2026 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival runs August 27 through November 21, with more than 100 new items across 30-plus Global Marketplaces (Disney Food Blog). Park admission covers it. There's no festival ticket.

Here's the thing about opening day: the festival you walk into today isn't the whole festival. The 30th-anniversary year tags are up now, but "Cheers to Cheese!" doesn't start until September 18 in CommuniCore Hall, and Coastal Eats waits until October 2.

Twenty Down: The Not-So-Scary sellout board we've been keeping since July now reads twenty of 38 nights gone, with only August 30 left this month. As of this writing, that night and September 1 are the last two at $149. (WDWMagic)
Big Top Returns: Big Top Souvenirs reopened August 21 after six months dark, and Big Top Treats came back with a new menu. A Mickey snow cone marshmallow pop, a Dumbo sandwich cookie, and cinnamon-sugar Circus Chips. We'll have one of everything. (AllEars)
Brunch, Deleted: Olivia's Cafe at Old Key West serves its last brunch October 5, then splits into separate breakfast, lunch, and dinner service on October 6. The crab cake eggs benedict survives the split and lands on the new breakfast menu. (Disney Food Blog)
Aversion Alerts: A Disney patent application published August 20 describes a system that lets guests log ride aversions and get a phone or watch alert when an attraction contains one, scored 1 to 10 for intensity. Fifty-Five, Officially: The Walt Disney World 55th anniversary logo surfaced this week, tucked into a first look at anniversary apparel. Past a "55 Magical Years" wordmark and a vintage-suited Mickey, Disney still hasn't said what the October 1 celebration actually is. (BlogMickey)
Last Call, Oaxaca: The Oaxacan wood carvers close their Mexico Pavilion shop for good on Monday, August 31, and everything on the tables is 50% off until then. Disney hasn't said what replaces them. (WDWNT)
Back in July we covered the great EPCOT trash can uprising: the new solar compacting bins are genuinely nice, and they quietly took away the flat tops that festival regulars had been using as standing tables for years.
Someone was listening. Wooden tray tables are going up along railings around the park, timed to Food & Wine, with a raised back lip so your plate doesn't slide into the landscaping and a small icon politely asking you not to sit on them (The DIS).
Does this end the trash can table era? Probably not. Some traditions outlive their furniture.
